Job Summary
Mow, prune, hedge, mulch, and manage green waste to ensure gardens, grounds, and outdoor areas remain safe, well-maintained, and visually appealing. Perform routine checks and basic upkeep on irrigation systems and external sprinklers while engaging positively with residents to build strong relationships. Work autonomously to manage scheduled tasks and respond to ad hoc gardening needs, maintaining a safe and welcoming community space. This permanent full-time role (Monday–Friday, 7am–3pm) requires strong practical gardening experience, a valid driver's licence, and two COVID-19 vaccinations.
Required Qualifications
- Strong practical experience in gardening and grounds maintenance, including mowing, pruning, hedging, mulching and green waste management
- An understanding of irrigation systems and external sprinklers, including routine checks and basic upkeep
- The ability to work autonomously, managing scheduled tasks while responding to day‐to‐day gardening needs
- Gardening or grounds experience, with a strong sense of pride and ownership in your work
- A proactive, solutions‐focused approach, with the ability to assess issues, troubleshoot and take action
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to explain maintenance works in a resident‐friendly way
- A positive, approachable attitude and a strong sense of pride in your work
- A valid driver's licence (essential)
- Minimum of two (2) COVID-19 vaccinations (required)
