Job Summary
Oversee daily maintenance and repair of facility, equipment, and grounds, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems. Direct day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, manage routine grounds care such as mowing and snow removal, and conduct vehicle inspections and fire safety monitoring. Perform janitorial duties, replace lighting, and ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules and safety protocols. Organize workload to meet resident needs while reporting accidents, hazards, and rights violations immediately. Maintain confidentiality of protected health information and participate in safety committees and technician evaluations. Work on-call rotations and weekends as required, adhering to Maine driving regulations and infection control policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
- Must have a basic knowledge of mechanical equipment, carpentry and general maintenance procedures
- A current, valid license to operate a vehicle in the state of Maine and a driving record that is satisfactory to the company
- Must complete a criminal history record check to the satisfaction of the company
- Must provide proof of immunization for MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) and varicella (chickenpox)
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
