Job Summary
Strip down and rebuild large complex machinery, including gearboxes on heavy plant, while performing plant fitting and mechanical setups. Manage bearings, hydraulics, pneumatics, valves, and couplings in a workpack environment requiring strict adherence to permits to work, risk assessments, and method statements. Maintain accurate shift and breakdown reports while ensuring full compliance with H&S issues. Required Qualifications
- Maintenance Engineer
- Mechanical Fitter
- Service Engineer
- Level 3 (mandatory) C&G / NVQ, ONC – Maintenance / Mechanical Fitting or similar
- Level 3 or time served apprentice or above
- Stripping down and rebuild of large complex machinery
- Plant fitting
- Experience of bearings, gearboxes, hydraulics, pneumatics, valves and couplings
- Mechanical setups on machines
- Permits to work
- Risk Assessments
- Workpack/permit environment experience
- Understanding of H&S issues
