Job Summary
Maintenance Fitter at Ferguson Plarre Bakehouses Keilor Park site responsible for preventative maintenance, service and repair of mechanical plant/equipment, stock control of consumables, diagnosing faults, and reporting on OH&S/QA/HACCP compliance. Participate in training, contribute to a high-performing Operations team, and uphold GMP and food handling standards while supporting continuous improvement and career growth within a sustainable baking facility.
Required Qualifications
- Certificate III and IV qualifications in Mechanical Fitting
- Full Working rights for permanent full-time employment in Australia
- Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience in an industrial/production/facility maintenance environment
- Stainless Steel Welding Experience
- High level of technical and diagnostic Skills
- Food Manufacturing knowledge or relevant industry experience
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintenance issues
- Planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills
- Be physically fit and healthy for work
- Reliable, motivated, and punctual
- Proven ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills and possess effective leadership qualities
- Understanding and practice of food hygiene and food handling concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain supportive cross functional relationships
