Job Summary
Maintain, repair, and service production machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults while performing preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimize downtime. Assemble and fit machined parts, cut and install hydraulic and pneumatic lines, and replace worn components such as bearings, seals, and gears. Dismantle machinery for inspection and overhaul, aligning and testing equipment to meet manufacturer specifications. Read engineering drawings, interpret technical manuals, and use precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances. Carry out scheduled maintenance programs for pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, and motors, maintaining accurate repair records and ensuring full compliance with workplace health and safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years' experience in Maintenance Fitter field
- Demonstrated commitment to WHS and ability to drive a culture of safety excellence
- Experience and knowledge with industry compliance requirements
- Sound knowledge of food safety, food hygiene
- Advanced communication and working knowledge of MS Office and maintenance systems
