Job Summary
Conduct installation, repair, and preventative maintenance on plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, including industrial panels, motors, and air compressors. Troubleshoot equipment using electrical schematics and testing tools, while operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts. Perform general facility support such as disconnecting connections, moving heavy equipment, and maintaining dock seals and air infiltration controls. Respond to emergency call-ins and complete maintenance work orders, strictly adhering to lockout/tagout procedures and plant safety standards. Work the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM M-F at a rate up to $31.50.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- PC literate
- Qualified to work with Industrial Electricity (formal coursework preferred)
- Technical background and experience in all aspects of facility maintenance
- General office computer skills including email and word processing
- Ability to operate a forklift and material handling equipment
- Self-motivated with strong initiative and ingenuity
- Effective communicator who can work independently and with minimal supervision
- Ability to solicit work from suppliers and contractors when needed
- Must be available for off-hours emergency call-in
- Must be available for occasional out-of-town travel (typically ≤5% per year)
