Maintenance/Facilities Manager

Job Summary

Conduct daily update meetings on open facilities issues with leadership and proactively identify maintenance problems like leaks and repairs. Plan, budget, and schedule facility modifications including cost estimates, bids, and contracts for construction and acquisitions. Manage the fleet of company vehicles and forklifts, scheduling preventative maintenance and logging usage. Perform weekly inventory of supplies to order custodial and kitchen items, while organizing airport deliveries and shop material pickups. Oversee maintenance and custodial personnel, directing equipment installation, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. Inspect construction progress to ensure conformance to specifications and maintain physical security through electronic systems and key controls. Act as a liaison to public utility, environmental, and law enforcement agencies.

Required Qualifications

  • Must know major OSHA regulations and have experience with Industrial Safety
  • Know general EPA laws and regulations related to Facilities
  • Can read blueprint layouts and technical drawings
  • Must have general knowledge of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) and air compressor systems and maintenance
  • Must have experience with forklift and powered industrial truck operation
  • Must have general knowledge of all facility systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing)
  • Must have general knowledge roof and wall repair
  • Must have general knowledge landscaping and irrigation systems
  • Must have supervisory and coaching abilities
  • Proficient with operating smart phones, email and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to read and write reports, business correspondence, work instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, associates, vendors, and the general public
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent, and to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • PIT certification, able to train campus associates on PIT safe operation
  • Certificate or Associate Degree in technical field such as Industrial Technology, HVAC, Building Systems, etc.
  • Must have Class E - Driver's license
