Job Summary
Build and maintain a database for the maintenance program, assist in creating and updating work instructions, and participate in plant mapping and equipment evaluations. Schedule and track preventative maintenance activities, conduct equipment research including serial number identification, and track work orders while providing progress updates. Provide support to the maintenance and facilities staff, assist in mapping and layout planning, and perform other duties as assigned to support the department. This 6-month internship is located in Kent, WA, for candidates eligible for sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- U.S. citizen, U.S. national, person lawfully admitted for permanent residence, temporary resident under sections 210(a) or 245(A) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, person admitted in refugee status, or person granted asylum
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 6 months
Desired Qualifications
- Enrollment in a related degree program at an accredited college or university
- Passionate about aerospace, engineering or facilities management
- Specific interest in maintenance and facilities management
- Strong computer skills, particularly with the Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD
- Proficiency in Excel
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Ability to learn new tasks/handle multiple tasks, solve problems, meet deadlines, and show strong self-motivation and initiative
- Good organizational skills for tracking work orders and maintenance schedules
- Attention to detail for tasks such as finding equipment serial numbers
- Strong communication skills to interact with maintenance and facilities staff
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
