Maintenance Fabricator

Job Summary
Perform electrical maintenance on equipment, following all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO). Ensure guards and safety equipment are functional before returning equipment to operators. Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and verify receipts. Utilize maintenance management systems to track and report equipment status. Read blueprints and schematics to diagnose and repair machinery. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and quality issues, escalating concerns when necessary. Fabricate repair parts using machine shop tools. Operate powered industrial trucks and cranes as required. Comply with OSHA standards and promote a culture of health and safety. Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to problem-solving efforts. Work the 1st shift (6am - 2:30pm) in a heavy manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Apprenticeship, journeyman training, military service, or equivalent mechanical/electrical training
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Proficiency in using precision measuring devices
- Ability to interpret technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Familiarity with electrical systems
- Familiarity with PLCs
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to pass job-related testing
- Ability to pass an employment physical
- Ability to pass a drug screening
- Strong teamwork skills
- Willingness to collaborate and contribute to team success
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to bend, twist, stoop, sit, kneel, crawl, and reach in all directions as needed
