Job Summary
Oversee the engineering, process engineering and maintenance functions at the facility; lead a department of Maintenance Technicians, Process Engineers, Controls Engineers, Parts Coordinator, and others; develop and manage the maintenance budget, forecasting future needs and ensuring cost-effective operations; train and develop professional engineering staff; implement continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance processes and engineering practices; create material flow layouts; ensure OSHA and EPA compliance; oversee ergonomic designs and 5S initiatives; manage TPM concepts including OEE, downtime reduction, and schedule attainment; oversee capital budgets and collaboration with local production to drive improvements; travel nationally and internationally to learn and share Best Demonstrated Practices across facilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering
- At Least 10 years direct engineering/maintenance experience (5 years supervisory experience)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Hands-on leader spending more time on the floor than in the office
- Ability to travel nationally and internationally a few times a year to learn and share BDPs
