Job Summary
Maintenance Engineering Co-op opportunity based in Brampton, Ontario. Works with Plant Maintenance team to shadow Millwrights/Electricians, review and improve Preventative and Predictive maintenance tasks, assist in project management (tendering, planning, installation, commissioning), support drawings/modeling and PM templates, and collaborate on other engineering-related plant operations and maintenance projects. Ideal candidate is enrolled in engineering or technical studies, has strong computer skills, can read drawings (AutoCAD is a plus), demonstrates critical thinking and organization, and is committed to health and safety. Compensation includes $23.50-$26.50/hour, 40-hour work weeks, and a contract term of 8 or 12 months.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary engineering program or Technical program
- New engineering graduates are welcomed to apply
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is an asset
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Troubleshooting capability is an asset
- Willingness to work 40 hours per week (Mon-Fri)

- Contract position experience or internship experience in maintenance/engineering environments could be beneficial
- Knowledge of maintenance SOPs and SWIs is helpful
- Familiarity with spare parts optimization processes
- Basic understanding of plant operations and maintenance best practices
- Interest in capital projects and asset management
- Ability to operate in a manufacturing setting with strong safety emphasis
- Willingness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced industrial environment
