Job Summary
Respond to maintenance requests in guestrooms, public areas, and back-of-house. Perform routine preventive maintenance on rooms, equipment, and building systems. Troubleshoot and repair basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry issues. Conduct regular inspections to identify needed repairs. Assist with room turns and out-of-order room recoveries. Maintain cleanliness and organization of shops, storage, and work areas. Follow safety procedures and company policies. Assist with vendor access and support contracted work as needed. Maintain work order documentation and logs. Schedule may include weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Prior hotel, apartment, or commercial maintenance experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Trade school or HVAC/electrical/plumbing training
- Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
- Ability to troubleshoot common issues
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize work orders
- Professional guest interaction and communication
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused
- Availability for weekends, evenings, holidays, and on-call shifts
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, work in mechanical spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds
- Successful completion of background screening and/or drug testing
