Job Summary
Maintenance Engineer at Lubrizol will provide maintenance/mechanical engineering technical expertise to plant Operations and Maintenance, serving as a subject-matter expert on equipment failures and repair techniques during root cause investigations. The role collaborates with the Maintenance Technologist to ensure both technical and field experience in troubleshooting, procedures, and repair plans; evaluates whether equipment meets service conditions; contributes engineering input on repair details (clearances, tolerances, materials of construction, welding procedures); provides on-site/off-site technical support for deviations; ensures repairs and training are documented; supports parts specification/purchasing and develops Planned Preventive Maintenance strategies; assists in developing operating procedures and job plans; reviews history feedback and supports planners and crafts; participates in turnaround work development and maintenance procedure creation; trains crafts and operations when needed. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3+ years in a chemical processing/manufacturing environment with SAP experience. The role is on-site in Deer Park, TX, and involves working in a safety-conscious, manufacturing setting with potential collaboration across Reliability Engineers and maintenance teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university
- 3+ years of Maintenance Engineering experience in a chemical processing/manufacturing environment
- Experience with SAP within the Maintenance Department
