Job Summary
Lead program strategies for new aircraft projects by developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance programs. Conduct engineering analysis using MSG-3 to determine appropriate maintenance tasks and intervals, while coordinating assigned chapters for airworthiness limitations and recommended maintenance. Develop and improve processes to support initial type certification and recurring revisions, including regulatory-facing policies. Collaborate with design teams to ensure maintainability and feed field information back into design, carrying out on-aircraft task validation activities. Guide periphery efforts impacting maintenance, including troubleshooting, MMEL, and operational performance analysis. Support knowledge transfer and development of junior team members within the final stages of FAA certification.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 4+ years experience of relevant industry experience; aircraft OEM, Military or airline
- 4+ years experience in aircraft maintenance including scheduled and unscheduled
- 4+ years of MSG-3 or equivalent maintenance program development
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance programs
- Ability to think creatively about the balance between operations and technical functions
- Proactive mindset, comfortable in a dynamic and evolving environment
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in aircraft OEM, military or airline
- 5+ experience in aircraft maintenance
- 5+ years experience in MSG-3
- Understanding of software-hardware maintenance interfaces
- Experience implementing a maintenance program for a new aircraft entry into service
