Job Summary
Execute planned, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for state-of-the-art PEM electrolysers in accordance with schedules and safety requirements. Diagnose equipment faults, identify root causes, and implement permanent corrective actions while supporting reliability initiatives including RCM and FMEA. Manage breakdowns using the CMMs system, ensure spares are available within Min-Max levels, and carry out project work to minimize downtime. Uphold safe systems of work including Permit-to-Work and LOTO, comply with statutory regulations, and champion 6S and continuous improvement methodologies. Make decisions within the Maintenance department to meet business deliverables for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People.
Required Qualifications
- Recognised engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Experienced time served maintenance engineer
- Experience in automated manufacturing or process plant maintenance
- Ability to read technical drawings (P&IDs, schematics, mechanical drawings)
- Strong fault‐finding and diagnostic skills
- Working knowledge of CMMS systems
- Strong commitment to safety and risk management
- Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
- Forklift licence (B1/B2)
- Full UK driving licence
Desired Qualifications
- IOSH Working or Managing Safely desirable
