Job Summary
Maintenance Engineer I at Delano Miami Beach is responsible for supporting day-to-day maintenance and operational integrity of the hotel by performing routine repairs, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Duties include installing, replacing, and repairing lighting fixtures and electrical wiring; inspecting machinery to diagnose issues; repairing defective parts; assisting with new equipment installation; maintaining the physical structure; troubleshooting commercial kitchen equipment; documenting maintenance activities in logs; responding to maintenance requests; coordinating with supervisors and other departments; participating in safety trainings; following safety regulations; and performing additional duties as assigned to ensure a safe, functional, and luxurious guest experience in a high-end hospitality environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school Diploma or equivalent education required.
- Basic knowledge of general building maintenance, painting, HVAC, and general repairs.
- Experience with preventive maintenance procedures and maintaining accurate maintenance logs.
- Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment repair and maintenance.
