Job Summary
Maintenance Engineer in a focused-service hotel setting performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues; responding to maintenance requests; completing work orders and preventive maintenance tasks; assisting with painting, carpentry, caulking, and cosmetic repairs; inspecting guest rooms for proper functionality of lights, outlets, and fixtures; maintaining organized engineering spaces; supporting setup for events; monitoring equipment issues requiring advanced repair or vendor support; and adhering to safety, sanitation, and company procedures. Requires ability to work independently, lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and strong problem-solving and customer-service skills.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Technical or vocational training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or related trades
- Experience in hotel, resort, or commercial building maintenance preferred
- Basic knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical repairs a plus
