Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary
Inspect, maintain, and repair all mechanical, electrical, and other equipment used by guests or affecting their experience. Create a safe and attractive environment by ensuring the hotel meets safety standards. Complete room and building repairs including replacing ceiling tiles, filters, light bulbs, patching sheet rock, vinyl, and painting. Perform repairs on toilets, sinks, laundry facilities, and kitchen areas. Maintain safety and cleanliness of the exterior, grounds, pool, and exercise room. Work closely with hotel departments to support operations. Troubleshoot issues in painting, HVAC, and carpentry while utilizing general maintenance tools.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Hotel or apartment maintenance experience
- Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing maintenance
- Experience with general maintenance tools
- Troubleshooting ability with skills in painting, HVAC, and carpentry
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and reach upward often
- Ability to climb, no fear of heights
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and coworkers
- Self-starter Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Must dress and present themselves neatly
Desired Qualifications
- HVAC experience preferred
- Knowledge of pool care and maintenance preferred
