Job Summary
Maintenance Engineer responsible for abrupt equipment failure maintenance and preventive maintenance; performs mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment, analyzes issues via work orders/maintenance requests, and prepares specifications for spare-parts inventory. Duties include routine inspections to prevent downtime, regular backup and revision of automation programs to ensure reliability, and on-site debugging in collaboration with software engineers. Maintains defect and maintenance records, trains staff on equipment knowledge and procedures, and supports optimization to reduce downtime and waste. Fluent in English and Mandarin.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in machinery, electrical or relevant majors
- Licensed high/low voltage electrician
- Over two years manufacturing experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend safety rules and operating/maintenance instructions
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule form instructions
- English and/or Mandarin language skills for workplace communication
- Ability to speak effectively with team members, engineers, leadership and customers
- Ability to pass static strength requirements and safety standards
- Knowledge of electricity and machinery
- Experience with factory power distribution equipment design/installation
- Knowledge of manufacturing software
- Ability to operate lifts and forklifts
- Training on safety procedures
