Job Summary
Carry out fault finding, problem solving, and planned preventative maintenance across all CNC machines while working under your own initiative. Minimise machine downtime through prompt repairs and support continuous improvement activities on the shop floor. Repair gearboxes, ball screws, pumps, and motors with experience in 5-axis alignment and PLC ladder logic. Manage a 3-week rotation of days, afters, and nights shifts in a busy machine shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience across a variety of CNC control systems and machine types
- Electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience
- Experience repairing gearboxes, ball screws, pumps and motors
- Experience with 5-axis machine alignment
- An understanding of PLC ladder logic
- Completion of a relevant apprenticeship and an engineering qualification equivalent to Level 3
- A solid engineering background within the machine tool industry
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in CNC maintenance
- Good knowledge of HSE regulations
