Job Summary
Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics and engineering drawings. Read plans, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine how to proceed. Repair, install, align, disassemble, and move equipment or production lines. Adjust machines, replace defective parts, and perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production assets. Clean, lubricate, and service machinery while adhering to safe operating procedures and lockout protocols. Participate in improvement projects and assist all departments as required. Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent shifts, standing for long periods, and handling heavy loads.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of mechanical experience
- Possess solid mechanical knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams correctly
- Experience working with preventive maintenance software
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with a lot of change
- Excellent knowledge of health and safety and lockout procedures
- Strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills
- Have a positive willingness to assist all departments as required
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to squat, bend and kneel
- Must be able to lift heavy loads and carry
- Must be able to work at heights
- Must be able to work in confined spaces
- Must be able to work in wet, slippery and noisy conditions
- Must be able to handle exposure to extreme temperatures, moisture, noise, dust, fumes, or hazardous materials
- Must be able to wear PPE such as helmets, safety glasses, gloves, or respiratory protection
Desired Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience preferred, in a packaging or manufacturing environment
