Job Summary
Install, troubleshoot, and repair plant electrical systems and production equipment while performing mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance duties. Detect root causes of equipment issues, read manuals, and execute planned and unplanned repairs to minimize production downtime. Operate plant utility systems including steam, air handling, ammonia, and compressed air while adhering to PSM requirements and GMPs for food safety. Maintain current work orders, sign out spare parts with 100% accuracy, and attend required safety and quality training sessions. Respond to maintenance calls as a top priority and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. This full-time role operates in a shop and plant environment on a 12-hour alternating shift including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED
- Associate degree in related technical field
- Equivalent number of years of maintenance experience
- Proficiency in basic computer skills
- Possess and maintain a State of South Dakota Journeyman or Contractor Electrician License
- Maintain current forklift certification
- Minimum age requirement is 18
- Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment
- Must be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver's license prior to employment
- Must be available for weekends
- Must be available for holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration
- Welding experience
- Bilingual in English/Spanish
