Job Summary
Maintenance Electrician responsible for preventative maintenance and on-call troubleshooting of plant equipment including Printing Presses, Laminators, Extruders, Slitting Machines, Bag Machines, and Gas Fired Web Dryers. Designs and installs control circuits, performs regular inspections, orders materials, and researches components. Maintains building/facilities, supports continuous improvement, communicates with production teams, adheres to Health and Safety policies, and contributes to a respectful workplace. Requires Interprovincial Red Seal Certification, PLC knowledge (Allen Bradley, Siemens), ability to design/repair electrical systems, 3+ years in manufacturing, forklift/scissor lift/Genie Boom certification (will train), and English proficiency. Shift pattern is 8-hour rotating days/afternoons; physical requirements include lifting up to 35 lbs; on-site/off-site expectations are to be on-site in Richmond, BC, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as an Electrician
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment at a Journeyman level
- Valid Operators Certificate for Forklift, Scissor lift & Genie Boom (Will train)
- Knowledge of PLC software (Allen Bradley, Siemens)
- Able to design electrical systems and repair electrical equipment
- Able to speak, read and write effectively in English
- Fall Protection and Confined Space Course (Will train)
- HVAC experience
