Job Summary
Maintenance Electrician for Sidney City School District responsible for installation, inspection, servicing, and repair of district electrical systems; reads blueprints and schematics, tests circuits, replaces breakers/fuses/switches, maintains safe work areas, and supports preventive maintenance; coordinates with maintenance supervisor, assists with inventory, and helps ensure compliance with ADA, AHERA, EPA, OSHA, and other safety regulations; requires electrician license and apprenticeship training, high school diploma or equivalent, and experience in multi-school building maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Post-secondary technical/trade school graduate preferred
- Completion of a formal apprentice training program and license are required
- Meets health requirements
- Clear criminal record
- Multi-school or closely related building maintenance experience
- Ability to interpret and apply blueprint and schematic diagram information
- Ability to comply with building codes and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accessibility guidelines
- Ability to comply with MSDS, AHERA, EPA, OSHA, and PERRA regulations
- Knowledge of microelectronics and HVAC control systems
- Proficient in preventive maintenance procedures for electrical systems
