Job Summary
Install main electrical power supply wiring and conduit for equipment including robots, welders, presses, and furnaces. Connect power supply wires to machines and cables between equipment per industry standards and electrical codes. Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, PLCs, and lighting fixtures to replace damaged wires or calculate fuse configurations. Replace faulty hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components including relays, switches, motors, and bearings. Test machinery, discuss malfunctions with other workers, and perform preventative maintenance while maintaining equipment status records. Study blueprints and schematics to establish repair methods and identify material requirements. Ensure all safety policies are followed, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out. Requires a Journeyman license or Electro-Mechanical degree and ability to stand for 8-9 hours daily.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Journeyman license or Electro-Mechanical degree
- Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8-9 hours per day
- Must be able to lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds occasionally
