Job Summary
Maintenance Electrical Journeyman responsible for maintenance and repair of hospital electrical systems including normal and emergency power distribution, automatic transfer switches, and generator testing; performs skilled troubleshooting and repair of electrical wiring, lighting, motor controls, and hospital-specific systems such as nurse call, public address, fire alarm, and BAS; must have at least five years of journeyman experience, CA driver’s license, and CA DIR journeyman certification; role involves supervising/training others, flexible scheduling including occasional weekends, and is based at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena, CA; shift is days, full-time; requires strong communication and problem-solving skills and familiarity with Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a journeyman electrician
- trade school, military service, or equivalent training
- Current California Driver's License
- Current Journeyman Electrician Certification issued by California Department of Industrial Relations (DIR)
- Knowledge of electrical codes and safe work practices
- Ability to supervise and train others
- Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook
- Basic working knowledge of Building Automation System (BAS)
- Good communication skills and collaborative problem solving
- Computer skills
