Job Summary
Maintenance Electrical Engineer to join an industrial manufacturing plant's Maintenance Department. Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing electrical systems and equipment, updating plant electrical single line diagrams, conducting Arc Flash analysis and labeling, acting as AHJ for NPFA 70E compliance, specifying PMs and PdMs, providing electrical input to new process equipment purchase specifications, directing electricians, mechanics, and other staff, training coworkers, participating in pre-start-up safety reviews, specifying tooling for on-site maintenance, driving continuous improvement from RCFA findings, analyzing equipment trends for reliability improvements, and ensuring installation and operations conform to standards with detailed electrical system specifications and drawings. Skills and knowledge expected include PLCs, HMIs, DCS systems, UPS, control valves, and experience in root cause analysis, FMEA, thermography, and PSM in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET-accredited university or college
- Minimum of 2 years experience with AC/DC drives and motors, low and medium power distribution, substations, and power distribution equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, cables, etc.)
- Experience and knowledge of PLC, HMIs, instruments, and DCS systems
