Job Summary
Implement and ensure adherence to Environmental Health and Safety policies, conduct routine safety observations, and lead investigations into facility incidents to identify root causes and track corrective actions. Schedule and lead preventative maintenance for machining, assembly, and other equipment while managing utilities, HVAC, and fire suppressant systems. Develop non-EHS site personnel, facilitate hourly and supervisory EHS training, and represent management during EHS meetings and regulatory agency collaborations. This role requires a high school diploma, four years of EHS and facilities experience in a distribution center, and three years of supervisory oversight. Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship is required. Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a Maintenance, Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Facilities role within a distribution center environment
- A minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience overseeing hourly employees in a fast-paced distribution center setting
- Proven ability to independently lead and manage EHS programs with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated success in preparing for and passing internal EHS audits
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage employees at all levels of the organization
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Office Suite, with the ability to create reports, dashboards, and training materials
- Effective presentation and facilitation skills, with experience leading safety meetings, training sessions, and cross-functional initiatives
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience handling recordable injuries
- Experience administering workers compensation
- Exposure to all Industrial Hygiene Programs with emphasis on and ergonomics identifying, evaluating, and controlling workplace hazards to protect worker health and safety
- Behavioral based safety background
- Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance Software a plus
- Strong hands-on experience in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
