Job Summary
Conduct general maintenance, repairs, and grounds work throughout EAA facilities, executing daily, weekly, and monthly checklists while ensuring high standards. Perform preventive maintenance on plumbing, carpentry, painting, and small equipment; operate hand and power tools, machinery, and vehicles; and manage loading, unloading, and stacking of supplies. Assist with event preparations and takedown for AirVenture, support outside contractors, and lead volunteers on projects. Clean vehicles, equipment, buildings, and grounds to EAA standards, maintaining accurate work order records. Work varying schedules including weekends as needed, lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally, with a starting wage of $16.25 per hour based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 or more years of work experience in building and general maintenance practices
- 3 or more years of work experience with standard tools and power tools
- 3 or more years of work experience in carpentry and painting
- 3 or more years of work experience in mowing the lawn and planting
- 3 or more years of work experience in cleaning
- Valid driver's license
- Basic geometry and arithmetic
- Basic computer skills of Microsoft Office
- Ability to work varying schedules and weekends as needed
- Ability to perform manual labor
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, squat, kneeling, twisting, push and pull motions
- Ability to work above ground on irregular surfaces
