Job Summary
Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections. Test, troubleshoot, and execute basic repairs on electrical components, plumbing, and guestroom items while using the Lockout/Tagout system. Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and input air handler schedules on computers. Complete daily activity reports, address safety hazards, and perform landscaping and surface preparation tasks. Adhere to all safety policies, uniform standards, and company procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Driver's License
- High school diploma or G.E.D equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting
- Must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds
- Must be able to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and/or ladders
- Must be able to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
- Must be able to enter and locate work-related information using computers
- Must be able to use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
- Must be able to identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings
- Must be able to maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
- Must be able to communicate each day's activities and problems that occur to the other shifts using approved communication programs and standards
- Must be able to follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures
- Must be able to report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- Must be able to complete safety training and certifications
- Must be able to properly store flammable materials
- Must be able to ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
- Must be able to protect company assets
- Must be able to welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
- Must be able to anticipate and address guests' service needs
- Must be able to assist individuals with disabilities
- Must be able to thank guests with genuine appreciation
