Job Summary
Manage the maintenance department and assist the Executive Director with community operations, ensuring all work aligns with LCB Senior Living policies and budgetary guidelines. Perform routine repairs on residence systems and grounds, oversee outside contractors and vendors for landscaping, HVAC, and renovations, and maintain proper inventory levels. Supervise and schedule laundry and housekeeping staff, develop staffing patterns, and conduct in-service trainings. Establish and monitor preventative maintenance schedules, manage fire safety plans and drills, and track monthly budgets for supplies and purchased services. Liaise with local fire and inspectional agencies and coordinate resident moves as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of maintenance functions and techniques
- Knowledge of OSHA standards
- Knowledge of state and local fire codes
- Knowledge of other safety regulations
- Ability to organize and provide the maintenance needs of the residence
- Ability to work with outside vendors and contractors
- Ability to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing
- Four or more years maintenance experience
- Experience preferably in the health care industry
- Valid drivers license in the state employed
