Job Summary
Maintenance Director responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and safety operations of a 24/7 senior living community. Leads preventative and predictive maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment, oversees groundskeeping and housekeeping, manages staffing/scheduling and budgeting, coordinates with vendors, ensures safety and infection-control procedures, and supports resident privacy and dignity. Requires strong leadership, professional communication with residents, families, and healthcare professionals, and adherence to state safety regulations; involvement in safety committee meetings and staff training/orientation.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years hands-on experience as maintenance supervisor in multi-residence or similar setting (preferred)
- CPR and First Aid certification as necessary to fulfill state regulations
- Basic technical knowledge and mechanical ability for routine maintenance and repair on equipment used in the community
- Experience in ground maintenance and plumbing repair
- Knowledge of fire and safety regulations
- Ability to work with outside vendors and monitor their work
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
- State Criminal Background Check and LIC 508 Criminal Record Statement
- LIC 503 Health Screening Report
