Job Summary
Oversee safe, efficient operations of all building systems and supervise the Maintenance Assistant while coordinating outside vendors to ensure resident, staff, and visitor safety. Manage facility physical plant, equipment, and grounds including plumbing, electrical, and structural repairs; plan work schedules for assigned personnel and monitor supplies within budgetary guidelines. Maintain documentation for routine and preventive maintenance, fire alarm testing, generator checks, and compliance with local, state, and federal laws. Ensure adherence to policies regarding cleanliness, infection control, safety, security, and hazardous communication. Requires ability to read and follow safety instructions, perform basic mechanical and carpentry tasks, lift 50-75 pounds, and hold a valid driver's license. Full-time 40-hour position.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write in English, write and follow oral instructions in English, as well as understand labels and safety instructions and other department policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform, and working knowledge of, routine plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry grounds keeping tasks including painting, wallpapering, and shoveling snow.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items weighing approximately 50-75 pounds.
