Job Summary
Maintenance Director of SNF at Georgetown Nursing Center: hands-on leadership for the physical plant and Life Safety Management of a Skilled Nursing Facility. Oversees supervision of housekeeping, laundry, and management teams; requires strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems; reads technical manuals; performs preventative maintenance; ensures compliance with safety protocols; strong communication with residents, staff, and vendors; 24/7 readiness for maintenance needs as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certifications or vocational training in maintenance is preferred
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry required
- Housekeeping experience in a supervisory/management position in an institutional setting
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
- Computer skills a must
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues effectively
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality and preventative maintenance
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines as assigned
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with residents, staff, and vendors
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects when necessary
- Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to maintenance work in the Long-Term Care Industry
- Active Driver’s License and driving record without significant issues
