Job Summary
Oversee daily maintenance and physical plant operations for the skilled nursing facility, coordinating routine repairs, preventative care, and inspections while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and Life Safety Code regulations. Monitor critical systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety; respond promptly to work orders and urgent concerns. Lead and supervise departmental employees, manage vendor relationships, and maintain accurate logs and documentation. Participate in regulatory surveys, emergency preparedness drills, and the facility's on-call rotation. Requires healthcare or long-term care experience, supervisory background, and working knowledge of building systems. Full-time role with competitive compensation and benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Previous maintenance experience
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working with tools and equipment
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and employment screenings
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience
- Prior supervisory or department leadership experience
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance
- Familiarity with Life Safety Code, OSHA, and healthcare regulatory requirements
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
