Job Summary
Direct and oversee all maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance programs throughout the facility, ensuring building, grounds, and equipment remain safe and efficient. Supervise, train, and schedule maintenance personnel while developing preventative schedules for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems. Ensure compliance with CMS, OSHA, NFPA, Department of Health, and local regulatory requirements by coordinating inspections, certifications, and required testing. Manage vendor relationships, oversee facility projects and renovations, monitor department budgets, and respond promptly to requests and emergencies. Maintain documentation of activities and participate in Life Safety surveys for state and federal inspections. Monday–Friday schedule with on-call responsibilities; salary up to $90,000.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Maintenance Director or supervisory maintenance experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility, Rehabilitation Center, Hospital, or healthcare environment
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance
- Thorough understanding of Life Safety Code, OSHA regulations, CMS standards, and Department of Health requirements
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license
