Job Summary
Maintenance Director leads and supervises maintenance operations for a senior living community, overseeing electrical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, grounds, and safety programs; manages contractor work, preventive maintenance, inventory, and life-safety training; ensures timely response to resident requests, maintains records, and participates in safety and leadership meetings; collaborates with management, provides training and development for associates, and ensures compliance with emergency procedures and policies.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, or HVAC experience
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English
- Successful criminal background check and drug testing required
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- Must be in good physical health and free of communicable disease
- Knowledge of proper cleaning materials and their use
- Ability to get along with others
- Must be friendly and have excellent people skills
