Job Summary
Oversee and approve all facility repairs, improvements, and emergency renovation needs while maintaining accurate safety records and logs. Supervise maintenance staff and contractors, providing ongoing preventative upkeep for building systems, fire safety equipment, and medical devices. Inspect all work for quality and compliance, verify daily logs for refrigerator and water temperatures, and mandate budgetary guidelines for supplies and service orders. Act as chairperson for the Safety Committee and assure adherence to State and Federal Regulatory codes.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- College degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering
- At least 5 years experience in plant engineering and a maintenance supervisory role
- Expertise in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automation systems, carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC
- Working knowledge of the principles of supervision, organization and administration
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Considerable independent judgment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
Desired Qualifications
- College degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering is highly preferred
