Job Summary
Maintenance Director responsible for supervision of maintenance and housekeeping staff, directing the maintenance and upkeep of the community interior and exterior, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards. Oversees regulatory maintenance on elevator, fire and sprinkler systems, generator, landscape, kitchen equipment, and Help Call Systems; prioritizes and executes resident repair requests; performs hands-on repairs and refreshing of vacant rooms; maintains communications with fire marshal, building inspectors, and life-safety authorities; manages the Computerized Preventative Maintenance Program and collaborates with Local/Regional teams on capital projects; requires seven+ years of hands-on building maintenance and facilities management experience, HS diploma or GED, and driving license.
Required Qualifications
- Seven plus years of hands on building maintenance and facilities management experience
- A valid driver's license for occasional transportation support
- Experience managing staff and budgets is required
- High School diploma or GED accepted
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational, time management skills
- Good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to serve seniors in a team environment
