Job Summary
Oversee maintenance operations for a long-term care facility: supervise staff, assign work, and manage budgets and supplies; perform repairs and supervise preventive maintenance of buildings, equipment, lawn, and grounds; coordinate outside repair and construction services; ensure safety, infection control, hazardous materials handling, fire safety, and sanitation procedures; maintain records (including fire drills and equipment inspections) and use the TELS system; promote residents’ rights and provide staff coaching and development; handle records and budgetary responsibilities as needed; maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, including floor care when required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and follow oral and written directions in English at a level necessary to accomplish the job
- Must be able to relate positively and favorable to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other associates
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
- Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Related experience preferred
