Job Summary
Maintenance Director at Hastings Senior Health & Living leads maintenance, housekeeping, and laundry teams within a 72-bed skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities include arranging/performing heating and cooling system maintenance, electrical and plumbing tasks, lawn care, snow/ice removal, debris clearance, window cleaning, responding to maintenance requests, plant inspections for regulatory compliance, supervising maintenance and housekeeping staff, purchasing supplies and negotiating vendor contracts, and assisting with physical plant budgeting. Ideal candidate has 3+ years in facility maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, supervisory experience preferred, and a valid MN driver’s license. Boiler operator license is preferred or willingness to obtain within 3 months; strong leadership, customer service, and time management skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years' experience in long term care or other facility maintenance
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum class "SPECIAL" boiler operator license is preferred or willing to obtain within 3 months required
- Valid MN Driver's License
- Knowledge of mechanical and physical plant maintenance, as well as state and federal building and grounds regulations
