Maintenance Director - Bridge at Balcones

Job Summary
Inspect property to identify units or systems requiring maintenance and report work needs to the Community Director. Manage completion of all assignments in a zero-defect manner while completing resident service orders promptly. Oversee caulking, painting, electrical, plumbing, flooring, roofing, and HVAC maintenance to ensure buildings remain in optimal condition. Assist with move-out inspections, train the maintenance team, and develop vendor relationships to negotiate pricing. Handle after-hours emergency problems as directed and maintain compliance with State, Federal, and OSHA regulations. This hands-on role requires significant outdoor exposure and physical capability for lifting up to 100 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledgeable of basic electric, plumbing, drywall/paint, carpentry, ceramic/tile, and appliance installation/removal and repairs
- EPA Universal and CPO certifications
- Minimum of five (5) years general maintenance experience
- At least three (3) years of apartment maintenance experience
- Previous supervisory experience
- Ability to multitask, stay organized and meet deadlines
- Must be capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 100 lbs. occasionally
- Requires the ability to stand, bend, stoop, squat, and kneel for extended periods
- Must be able to safely climb ladders and stairs as part of daily tasks
- Significant time will be spent outdoors, with exposure to varying weather conditions and elements
Desired Qualifications
