Job Summary
Conduct hands-on maintenance tasks including electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general repairs while managing administrative functions for the facility. Establish and monitor a preventative maintenance program to ensure resident and staff well-being, and coordinate communication for building repairs and alterations. Provide technical support, quality assurance guidance, and oversee staff, payroll, operational expenses, and capital expenditures. Maintain OSHA and fire code compliance, including proper biohazardous waste handling. Requires Sunday-Thursday schedule with salary of $79,000.
Required Qualifications
- previous maintenance and housekeeping management experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility
- strong working knowledge of applicable building systems, including mechanical/electrical/plumbing with a strong emphasis on HVAC
- understanding of all applicable life safety regulations
- demonstrated ability to run a successful maintenance and housekeeping department
- experience in facilities management capacity
- good communication skills
- previous supervisory experience
- diagnostic abilities and skills in completing details
- understands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste
