Job Summary
Conduct hands-on electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks while managing all maintenance and housekeeping functions within the assisted living facility. Establish and monitor a preventative maintenance program, oversee staff and payroll, and control operational expenses and supply and capital expenditures. Ensure OSHA and fire code compliance, coordinate repairs and alterations, and provide technical support and quality assurance guidance. Maintain a schedule from Tuesday through Saturday with a salary of $72,000 to $75,000 based on experience.
Required Qualifications
- previous maintenance and housekeeping management experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility
- Must have a strong working knowledge of applicable building systems, including mechanical/electrical/plumbing with a strong emphasis on HVAC
- Possesses an understanding of all applicable life safety regulations
- Demonstrated ability to run a successful maintenance and housekeeping department
- Experience in facilities management capacity
- Possesses good communication skills
- Previous supervisory experience required
- Possesses diagnostic abilities and skills in completing details
- Understands the practices surrounding proper handling of biohazardous waste
