Job Summary
Oversee general maintenance and repair of the assisted living community while securing cost-effective solutions. Supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, providing leadership, training, and development to ensure proper facility upkeep. Implement the Injury and Illness Prevention Program and coordinate the Hazcom Program. Conduct safety audits, checklists, and emergency drills to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Manage budgets and control costs while building relationships with residents and staff. Maintain resident confidentiality and meet all health requirements, including TB screening.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of facilities and operations systems management in an assisted living and dementia care community
- Skilled at building relationships with residents and staff members
- Ability to maintain resident confidentiality
- Knowledge and/or ability to learn federal, state, and local regulations
- Knowledge of management and accounting
- Ability to meet budgets and control costs
- Knowledge of computers, internet, and software applications including Word and Excel
- Must meet all health requirements, including acceptable results on TB screen
