Job Summary
Maintenance - Diesel Technician (Level 1) in Hyrum, UT: Performs routine maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations), assists with minor repairs under supervision, communicates with drivers/dispatchers, and maintains records. Reads precision instruments and uses diagnostic tools to troubleshoot diesel truck systems, adhering to DOT, EPA, and OSHA rules. Travel within designated region for service calls and roadside maintenance; participates in ongoing training; works in shop/office and outdoor environments with safety emphasis.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license in state of residency with acceptable driving record
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and submit to the company random drug and alcohol program
- Basic knowledge of diesel engines and automotive systems
- Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to work any schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to read and understand technical service manuals
- Ability to operate and interpret industry standard diagnostic software for heavy duty truck tractors
