Job Summary
Maintenance Department Manager plans, directs and monitors preventative and corrective maintenance and repair activities to ensure production equipment and facilities operate reliably. Oversees maintenance of injection molding, blow molding and packaging equipment, leads the maintenance department, collaborates with the Production Manager to schedule preventive maintenance, and builds world-class mechanical and preventative maintenance teams to keep lines running with high efficiency and proper parts stock. Oversees outside contractors performing installations and projects, interfaces with HR on recruitment, disciplines, and safety, and develops measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality. Early focus on creating a positive work environment, developing capital equipment justifications, and ensuring timely attendance. Strong emphasis on leadership, safety, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration with vendors, production, and customers. Requires a Bachelor's degree and substantial manufacturing leadership experience, including people management. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business Administration or vocational studies
- 6 Years – Experience in Field or similar manufacturing environment
- 6 Years – Experience in Position
- 4 Years – Experience managing people/projects
