Job Summary

Review, prioritize, and assign work orders to maintenance staff while coordinating scheduling in the direct digital control system. Coordinate annual maintenance activities, monitor contractor performance, and dispatch contractors for regular and emergency work. Receive and record work performed in the electronic work order system, including labor hours and materials. Assist in developing scopes of work, preparing job estimates, and purchasing supplies. Ensure safety compliance by reinforcing policies and requiring personal protective equipment. Comply with state and federal regulations while managing multiple priorities and supporting the Maintenance Director in planning projects. Perform on-call and emergency callback duties over a 245-day contract.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Trade or Vocational School Training, or equivalent experience
  • Three (3) years of experience supporting facility maintenance operations
  • Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems and building control systems (CMMS/DDC)
  • General familiarity with fire protection systems
  • Working knowledge of building systems sufficient to coordinate maintenance activities
  • Knowledge of commercial HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety practices
  • Ability to read and understand basic schematics, operation manuals, and contract documents
  • Current New Mexico Driver's License with insurable driving record
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns
  • Ability to analyze operational issues and recommend solutions
  • Ability to coordinate and schedule work assignments
  • Knowledge of cost tracking and basic estimating
  • Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance concepts
  • Ability to support and monitor safety compliance
  • Ability to coordinate vendors and contractors
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local codes related to facilities maintenance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
  • Strong computer and data entry skills
  • Employees are required to perform On-Call duties
  • Employees are required to perform Emergency Call-Back

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in facilities coordination, lead support, or operations support roles
  • Experience coordinating contractors or vendors
