Job Summary
Maintenance Coordinator responsible for proactively maintaining school facilities, including landscaping, parking surfaces, HVAC systems, and mechanical/electrical systems. Manage maintenance service requests, determine when outside vendors are needed, define project scope with vendors, supervise and inspect vendor work, and regularly inspect facilities to address maintenance and aesthetic needs. Duties include trash removal, landscaping, lighting, plumbing, fire suppression, elevator, pest control, roof and window repair, and other repairs. Requires 2+ years in building maintenance, proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), strong communication and organization, customer-service orientation, and the ability to perform basic repairs and escalate as needed to specialized trades. Strong integrity, reliability, adaptability, and dedication to maintaining clean, efficient facilities in a fast-paced school environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years of work experience in building maintenance at commercial facilities
- Previous experience working in a school environment preferred
- Ability to complete basic repairs and to know when a project requires expertise
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
