Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of Youth and Older Adult Centers to ensure facilities remain safe, clean, and welcoming. Coordinate preventive maintenance, manage inventory of tools and supplies, and perform minor repairs including painting, drywall patching, and seasonal tasks like snow removal. Direct maintenance staff by providing daily work direction and monitoring workloads while assisting the Facilities Manager with NYCHA ticket follow-ups and project management. Monitor building conditions to report safety concerns promptly and ensure proper room setup for programming and events. Requires physical presence during inclement weather and emergencies.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to perform simple maintenance task and repairs
- Ability to use small hand tools
- Physical presence during inclement weather and NYC and state of emergency
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in maintenance/facilities
